Hello and welcome to Life is bloggiful!
I’m Chloé and I am an aspiring designer. I have created this blog to share with you my journey into the world of graphic and pattern design.
I have no academic background in art or design but like you certainly do, I like anything which makes life beautiful.
In this blog, you will discover my sources of inspiration, my favourite designers, artists and brands and my very own creations! I will also show you some tips and techniques along my learning process.
Whether you want to start your own adventure, explore a new world or whether you are looking for a fresh new look on design, you’ve come to the right place!
This blog is the journal of my journey into the world of graphic and pattern design.
It is a space dedicated to colours and shapes, an invitation to contemplate the beauty of life.
Life is beautiful and without even noticing it, graphics and patterns surround you everywhere all the time. Stop reading this page for a few minutes and look around you… What do you see?
Have you paid attention to the details of the floral pattern of your dress? Do you like the colours of the bus-seat fabrics you’re sitting on? What do you think of the tile arrangement in your bathroom? Which wrapping paper will you pick for your nephew’s birthday present?
Can you imagine how exciting and beautiful your life would be if you had the time to contemplate all these pretty things? I have started to ask this question to myself a few years ago…
My name is Chloé. I am French and I live in London with my husband and 2 sons. I am initially a data scientist. Basically, I’m not bad with numbers and I can code in several mathematical languages. Yes, that was really fun for a few years.
Then came a time in my life when I started to feel that I was not excited by it anymore and I realised I was not doing anything useful, neither for myself or anybody. I’m not being very original in saying that, it happens to a lot of us!
But I wanted to do something about it and change my life. Why not doing something in relation with my passion for shapes and colour?
Thanks to my husband’s support, I’ve quit my job. Today, I am moving into another stage of my life, full of colours and patterns. I’m giving myself a new chance in a new exciting area.
I have been thinking a lot about a career change. I now have a dream and I’m starting to work on my project. I’m keeping this project secret for now as it is still in its early stages. This blog is all about developing my ideas and my skills and sharing with you my adventure in a whole new world!
This blog will be my companion through my learning process. As I gain knowledge, skills and confidence, it will evolve to reflect myself and my style.
